Serve Sunday allows us to live out our mission in our local community and worship through service. We gather in teams, eat breakfast, pray together then head out to serve in a variety of ways. Here is some of the variety of our teams:
- Prayer team who prays in and throughout our community
- Served at the Oregon Lofts by hosting parties for the residents
- Play games and music with the residents at Genesis Village
- Cleaned up property and helped with landscaping
- Served local churches and helped maintain their property
- Provided laundry money and detergent at local laundromat
- Helped weed and pick produce in a community garden
- Cleaned up a local park and planted flowers
- And so much more...
We hold Serve Sunday on months with five Sundays. On the 5th Sunday our schedule is a little different. Typically is looks like this:
8:45a - Breakfast begins at Hope Community
9:15a - Prayer, giving and devotional
9:45a - Meet with team
10:00a - Go serve with team
1:00p - Eat lunch and debrief
